If you are looking for the Rio Carnival 2027 — or searching for it as Carnival Rio de Janeiro 2027 — this is a way to live it from the inside, accompanied, and not from the stands.

Naty knows this world.
I have taken part in the Rio Carnival since 2020.
It is not somewhere I know by hearsay or from a photograph: it is a world I belong to, with its own timing, its own music and its own way of doing things.
So if this experience goes ahead, you will not arrive alone somewhere unknown. You will arrive with someone who has already been there.
I know from the inside the world of the samba schools of Rio de Janeiro: the rehearsals, the timing, and what it means to parade at the Rio Carnival rather than watch it from the stands.
My path through the Rio Carnival
The escolas that opened their doors to me.
Naty’s path through the Rio Carnival began in 2020. Over these years I have paraded with:
- Porto da Pedra
- Niterói
- Acari
- Unidos da Tijuca
- Botafogo
In 2025 she paraded with Unidos da Tijuca, an escola of Rio’s Grupo Especial, in a choreographed ala. In 2026 she was invited to join its ala de passistas.
My thanks to every one of the escolas that opened its doors to me and let me live and keep learning the Carnival from the inside, and to LIESA and LigaRJ for the enormous work that sustains and makes this culture possible.
Prepare
You do not need to know how to dance samba to be interested in this experience.
We can start preparing from wherever you are, building step by step the foundations of rhythm, samba, coordination, movement and confidence you will need to move towards that dream.
From October
Group classes for Your First Movement begin on 3 October 2026: you learn samba from the foundations and build solid preparation over the months leading up to Rio.
You can ask me about other ways to prepare and, depending on where I am, about meeting in person.
Would you like to prepare for Rio with me?
Students who are part of Your First Movement will have priority access to the Rio 2027 experience.
Within the programme we build the foundations you need to move forward from your own starting point, even if today you cannot dance samba at all.
Wanting Rio is not a requirement for joining Your First Movement, and you can join the priority list without having done the programme.
You can prepare
And you do not have to do it alone.
Would you like to start preparing from scratch? Your First Movement can be your first stage before Rio.
It is one possible route, not a requirement. You can join the Rio priority list having never danced and having done nothing with me before. And if you would rather arrive with some ground already covered, it is there.

The experience is designed to offer you the possibility of dancing with an escola during the Rio Carnival 2027. The escola and the exact form of participation will be announced once they are confirmed.

What we can already confirm
- There will be preparation beforehand.
- You do not need to have done Your First Movement to take part.
- You can start with no previous samba experience.
- Flights are not included.
- Travel insurance is not included.
