Samba from scratch · online experience

You can learn samba.

Even if today you feel you can’t coordinate, that you’re stiff, or you simply don’t know where to begin.

I teach you from the foundations, step by step, so you understand what you’re doing and start dancing with more and more autonomy and confidence.

No previous experience needed.

Some of this may sound familiar

Do you recognise yourself in any of these?

I can’t coordinate.
I’m stiff.
I don’t know where to start.
I keep putting it off.
I find it hard to keep going.

How you learn

This is how you learn: step by step, without rushing.

You don’t need to understand everything at once. We organise the movement, practise it and add resources gradually, so you don’t depend only on copying me.

How we work

The path we take, step by step.

LEARN You learn Brazilian samba from the foundations: music, pulse, movement and coordination.
OBSERVE As you learn, you notice what comes up when something works… and when it doesn’t.
EXPERIMENT You try other ways through the mistake, the frustration or the “I can’t”.
INTEGRATE You recognise what you learned, which resource appeared, and how to keep moving.

I felt really good… I need to connect with my body and the present to relax… it helped me a lot to shift my energy between the beginning and the end of the class. And I can see it could help me with confidence, which is what I’d like to work on: not being afraid, and daring to express and assert myself.

Thank you so much Naty for that shared moment.

“They were lovely, fun classes. They helped me with my mood, my balance and my coordination.

To anyone thinking of starting I’d say do it, because it’s fun, it helps your coordination and it lifts your mood and your self-esteem. Samba is the best!”

“When I met Naty I was at a point where I found it hard to find the energy and motivation to do things for myself.

Then I went to her sessions and something started to change. I began to move more, to do things and to give myself that space. While I was in the class, for a while I forgot about everything else.

What stands out most about Naty is the way she accompanies you. It isn’t just turn up, do the class and that’s it: she pays attention to how you are, she listens, and she gives off a really lovely energy.

For me that’s what makes the difference: it isn’t only the class, it’s how you feel while you’re doing it.”

“My experience with Naty was hugely rewarding. At that point she became my coach, my mentor and my guide.

It changed how I hold myself in front of other people and also when I dance samba: I’m less inhibited, I can let my body flow more without thinking so much about what others will say.

I discovered how much our own thoughts can limit us, and how that shows up in movement and in the way we express ourselves.

After that I started daring to do more: I entered a competition, I went to a casting, and I’m still practising samba because I really want to keep learning. Something in me changed, thanks to Naty’s accompaniment and also to my own decision to keep betting on myself.”

Frequently asked questions

What almost everyone asks before starting.

Never danced?

You don’t need to have. You start precisely because you don’t know yet. We go from the foundations.

Can’t coordinate?

Coordination is built. It’s part of what you’ll learn, not a requirement to begin.

Feel stiff?

Stiffness doesn’t leave you out. We work the movement little by little, at your pace.
